We've recently recognised a greater need to support our players in their personal development, as much as their physical & football development. Key to this is developing mindfulness habits the players can use day-to-day, as well as regular monitoring of their psychological well-being. To facilitate this, we've been exploring how we can curate a programme that benefits all of the players, whilst helping our parents further support their children. A fundamentally important aspect to this is creating a role & finding the right person to deliver the new programme.
With this in mind, we're incredibly pleased & excited to welcome Rosie Peacock to the FFE team. Rosie has a masters degree in positive psychology & coaching psychology and previous experience working in secondary school education. With a strong belief in the importance of developing mindfulness practices in young people and creating positive success habits from a young age, Rosie is the perfect person to lead this new initiative.
FFE director Loui Blake said "Having known Rosie for a while now, i'm incredibly excited to have her join the team. I know this appointment will make a massive impact on our players, and the programme we're developing with Rosie will enable us to continue to offer a football programme that prioritises the overall wellbeing of the children under our care. With the stresses of growing up in the modern world, we need to ensure we're fully equipping our players to excel both in and out of football, creating positive habits that can stay with them & help them be successful in later life."
The Positive / Powerful / Attitude programme will be implemented from November 2019, in the form of physical sessions & online learning. For more information, email Rosie@Futurefootballelite.com.
